Pedro Apartment,
Santos

The interior design project is rooted in the singular personality of Pedro Espírito Santo and his keen eye for art, objects and the places that have shaped his life. Descending from a family with Portuguese and Scottish roots, the owner has built over the years an eclectic collection of pieces acquired, inherited or simply discovered around the world. The interior therefore becomes a deeply personal private universe, where Portuguese tiles, antique furniture, paintings, French antiques, Victorian pieces and Art Deco accents coexist without rigid hierarchies.

Rather than following an overly curated composition, the decoration unfolds through a succession of intimate and unexpected settings. Sofas, méridiennes, daybeds, bergères and chairs from different periods occupy the rooms, creating multiple places to sit, converse or simply observe the collection. Drapery, patterns, ornamented ceilings and intense colours reinforce the theatrical and bohemian atmosphere, while the white architecture provides a backdrop for the diversity of textures and objects. The result is an exuberant yet highly livable interior, a portrait of a life shaped by curiosity, travel and an attentive eye for the world.
