A NUVEM
Conceitos de Arte in collaboration with visual artist Rosário Salazar
Inspired by the invitation to participate in this event, the intention was to depict a tree through its form rather than its materiality or colour. The Christmas tree is divided into its essential elements: the trunk and the crown. Separated into two distinct yet complementary concepts, they remain apart, never touching.
The crown alludes to that of the traditional pine tree, inviting us to lose ourselves in its interplay of light and shadow. The trunk, created in glazed clay by artist Rosário Salazar, takes the form of a sculpture that embodies the robustness and spontaneity found in nature.
At the base of the tree, moss transports us back to the spirit of Christmas, while still leaving space for imagination and individual enchantment.

PALIÇADA
Conceitos de Arte
As part of the HOMEING Exclusive Edition 2018 we created a piece produced by Fourcontract (MT Madeiras) out of sucupira wood. It consists of an organically shaped top encased in a vertical wooden structure that opens and closes, creating a play of light and shadow, like a palisade on the banks of the Tagus River.

SHADOWS
Conceitos de Arte with MAMOA
Through a play of light and shadow, this room evokes a constant discovery of shapes, tones, and contrasts that blend together.
The standout feature is the studio’s designer furniture from the “sur le bois” collection, which combines with different materials, colors, and textures to lend the room a subtle sense of delicacy and comfort.
Upon entering this room, we embark on a journey into the imagination.

Inspired by René Magritte’s Le Fils de l’Homme, our studio selected some of the painting’s most striking elements: the straw hat, the apple, and the shades of black and red.
The space is defined by framed screens supporting a geometric structure designed by the studio. The organically shaped table draws inspiration from the painting and the apple, which appears both naturally in the floral arrangements and as stylised origami suspended from the ceiling.
The dinner service by Costa Nova features a leaf-shaped plate, while Liz Garden’s floral arrangement combines white flowers, apples, tree trunks and moss. Three Christofle candelabras add a touch of sophistication to the composition.
In the background, a console designed by our studio frames the space. At its centre stands a painting created by the studio, a reinterpretation of Magritte’s original, showing the man with his back to the viewer, facing a mirror, while the reverse remains unpainted.
On one side, a hand-painted tray from a private collection displays two design pieces from Paris Sete, a lamp and a raven. On the opposite side, a Christofle frappe glass filled with apples completes the setting.

LE FILS DE L’HOMME

Inspired by the iconic Hotel Palácio Estoril, Conceitos de Arte created this table for Festa das Mesas as a tribute to the sophistication and timeless charm of this legendary setting.
The composition reimagines the traditional role of flowers on the table: instead of occupying vases at its centre, they were translated into a rich, expressive floral pattern across the tablecloth. The centrepiece is instead composed of corals and lush green vegetation, introducing a subtle maritime reference.
The exclusive linen tablecloth and napkins, produced by Pedroso e Osório, feature a bespoke design developed by Conceitos de Arte in collaboration with A Table Story. The corals were carefully selected with the curatorial expertise of One of a Kind, while the organic greenery, supplied by Horto do Campo Grande, brings a spontaneous and natural character to the composition.
The simple, organic forms of Costa Nova ceramics complement the richness of the textile, while the classic Christofle cutlery introduces a sense of elegance and balance.
The original hotel chairs were creatively reinterpreted by Conceitos de Arte in collaboration with Mamoa, preserving their original character while adding a contemporary touch.
Completing the setting is Telhado de Vidro, a striking artwork by artist Paula Paes Leme. Bringing colour and irreverence to the space, the piece creates a contemporary dialogue with the classic and distinctive atmosphere of Hotel Palácio Estoril.
The combination of flowers, corals and natural elements creates a refined interpretation of the hotel's unique character, where tradition and contemporary expression come together in a singular visual experience.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship, Exclusivity and Creativity
For the 2025 edition of Festa das Mesas, Conceitos de Arte and Christofle present a composition that brings together elegance, creativity and authenticity. Created in collaboration with the Portalegre Tapestries and centred around A Bela Aurora, a tapestry by Júlio Pomar, the project celebrates exceptional craftsmanship and exclusive design through a contemporary interpretation of the art of entertaining.
Designed by Manuel Arez of Conceitos de Arte, the table challenges traditional composition. Flowers are integrated directly into the tablecloth, transforming the textile itself into a central decorative element.
Christofle pieces are creatively reinterpreted and given new purposes, with champagne buckets becoming vessels for floral arrangements. Bespoke tableware handcrafted by Story Table complements the composition, alongside textiles by Pedroso & Osório, selected for their texture and subtle palette.
Floral arrangements featuring pomegranates, created by Liz Garden, introduce a symbolic reference to abundance and prosperity.
Bringing together Christofle's timeless elegance and the artistic heritage of the Portalegre Tapestries, this composition reflects the philosophy of Conceitos de Arte: connecting tradition and contemporary expression through craftsmanship, sensitivity and attention to detail.
More than a table, it is a celebration of sharing and of creating with time, care and soul.
